With so many people and businesses looking for work, having a solid personal brand has become necessary. A great brand is not about touting features and benefits. It’s about the connection on an emotional level. It’s about telling your story and building relationships.

Anthony Ashby understood this early in his career as he detailed his journey from healthcare consultant to the C Suite BY Understanding his WHY?

BIO
My name is Anthony Ashby, and I am currently the VP, Operations at CHI Health Immanuel Medical Center in North Omaha and CHI Health Mercy in Council Bluffs. I oversee strategic planning and clinical, ancillary support services, culture, engagement, performance improvement, and community relations. I consistently seek to create an environment that enables and inspires everyone to realize their meaningful impact every single day. I am deeply passionate about leveraging my role to serve the community in whatever ways I can to help mitigate the adverse effects of social determinants of health.

I am a native of Baltimore, MD, and attended the University of Baltimore for my BS in Accounting and MBA in Healthcare Administration. I am a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. I have spent my entire career in Healthcare Operations, beginning to consult across the country with various Hospitals and Health Systems to drive cost savings and operational performance processes.

I am fortunate to be able to serve on several local boards and committees. I am also the founding President of a new Regional Chapter of the National Association of Health Service Executives (NAHSE), NAHSE Heartland, aimed at developing and advancing black health care leaders in improving health equity in the black community.

My ultimate goal for the future is to lead a healthcare system to reduce the cost of healthcare, ensure the quality of care is equitable across all populations, and increase the minority representation in healthcare leadership.
